It's of course a matter of taste, but developing a "green patina" is usually seen as part of the game for a bronze watch (they even gain value if it happens in a nice way!)...
Here's a recent Panerai example that I tried on the wrist, not bad looking at all ;-) Cheers.

Bronze watches have recently become very popular. Although I very much like the color of bronze, having a watch which will develop an uneven patina in green and black color (and stain by wrist too) doesn't really appeal to me. So here is my question: Are ...
Stating the obvious, bronze is not gold. It is mostly copper with other metals added for hardness, color etc.
There is no way to prevent it from changing color. Regular washing with soap and water will prevent a build up of surface residue and help to achieve a more even color. Best, Martin

If you like it, it’s called “Patina”; if you hate it, it’s called “Tarnish”
aah, the joys of oxidization.
It is very easy to remove the patina if you wish to do so.
Especially if the watch is waterproof. Just put it in a lemonade for a bit
Piling on here, I have removed bronze patina from water resistant watches with ease using a mild vinegar solution (and accelerated it with ammonia fumes 😉).
As regards the concern over patinated bronze staining the skin, most of the bronze-cased watches I've seen introduced of late have steel or titanium case backs and buckles, in order to avoid staining the skin. (The Genta illustrated above is an exception....
