I use the chronographs anytime, for everything ....
It seems I am a timing fanatic: Determining how long I need to drive leg A, opposed to variant B, how long I walk into town from my parking space, how long I walk my dogs .... The most frequent use, however, is when I am cooking. Without chronograph as a timing aid, I feel it really difficult to meet the right time for pasta, meat or potatoes. I even prefer chronographs with rotating bezel so I can time two different meal components at the same time.
