... now when it comes to re-issues vs tributes, I actually prefer the latter.


Original historic timepieces should remain unique, a re-issue has the benefit of more people being able to enjoy it, but the singularity of the original gets tainted imho.

A tribute, like what Blancpain has done recently with the MilSpec and before with the NoRad, reminds us of the original, but stands on it's own. 

Although I must confess, the Omega 1957 re-issues you mentioned are fantastic.
