Horological Meandering

OK, gentlemen, while cleaning up all the photos on my hard drives, I came across these images. What is this darn thing and why do I have its photos? (I also have the actual object here too) ...  

In order to document adherens to drive-rest rules in europe, all trucks, at least in Denmark needs to have a clock installed, that will document when the truck has benne on the road (vibration) and parked. A paperdisk (carbon paper ?) at the bottum will r... 

I don't know anything about it, but a quick search of the Company name on Google brought up a picture of the product. Still a few available online, including the paper discs. Quite an interesting piece of horological history!
