Here's my PAM246 foudroyante rattrapante
A very beautiful Panerai IMO!
The double hands of rattrapantes are visually pleasing to the eyes IMO! And this Panerai has the bonus feature of a foudroyante so I get to see another little blue hand spinning around.
Cheers,
Anthony
Great subject for a post.

Daos, I am not sure I will ever do anything but admire rattrapantes from a distance, but they are dream worthy... I have tried on the Lange Double Spit (a boy can dream can't he?). It is a heavy and thick watch (though neither as heavy nor as thick as the...

...as a cousin to the Duometre would be lovely, I agree. I hope we'll see that watch sooner rather than later! I am not quite ready emotionally or financially for a rattrapante, but I'm interested to learn more about them, so that hopefully one day I'll h...

sorry Daos, i owned it before i owned a digi cam. i've looked on their website and its not there anymore. it had a subdial at 3 for the hours and minutes, subsecond at 9, etc. the traditional coin edged bezel which on mine was gold with steel case. all ba...

a Portuguese, I am guessing, is really beautiful. I like the lack of date on a chronograph, especially a split -- it seems to say that this watch means business. Both IWCs are really beautiful, and an abundance of riches in terms of rattrapantes. respo

If I had to add one, it would be my choice.... The Lange Double Split is amazing, but, TO ME, when you compare it to the elegant Datograph, the DS doesn't win. Horologically, yes, but aesthetically, not. The case, the bezel all the proportions are way too...
Hi, Nicolas!

I like the GO very much, but the DS is also a beauty. Yes, the DS is large, but it is an exciting watch IMO. I prefer the Dato in terms of looks, but the DS is a horological wonder. At the end of the day, you and I are largely on the same page in this reg...

This is one of the best Panerais IMO! It's just beautiful, and I love to watch the 1/8 second hand swirl around the subdial! I saw one at a local dealer recently, and it looks fantastic in the metal. Your photos are great! Thanks so much for sharing your ...

First a 1929 split-second PW from the Breguet Museum There was a limited-edition WW design announced at basel 2008 based on this piece, I think limited to boutiques, the 5247. (picture from basel.watchprosite.com ) Second a pre-rattrapante Breguet, also f...
The fun of a rattrapante
By: Allen : September 30th, 2009-00:31
is that there are 3 buttons to play around. The more the better! Just looking at the hands split and then catching up again is part of the fun. The traditional rattrapante movement is THE most beautiful complication IMO: Here's my favorite rattrapante: To...
