As you can see, I suspected several things of the watch. I thank you for confirming that.
A frankenwatch.
Since I wrote this thread, the watch fell on the ground and stopped working. A friend watchmaker told me the index and pawl were bent, and he had nowhere to source the spare parts. I guess that with the lack of parts, many watchmakers tend to cannibalize some watches to restore others.
Anyway, I like the watch for the technology and history it represents and find this case type very enjoyable.
If you have some suggestions to make it more correct or functional at least, I’ll appreciate if you could send me a PM.

So many Spaceviews are conversions...
...and they often require a careful look to see if they are genuine since the same movement went into all models. Conversion hands and crystals abound, making this often easy to do (although many variations required a chapter ring and spacer).
