Happy Tourbillon Day! 26th of June! Share your photos of favorite Tourbillon watches!

26-June-1801 was the day the Tourbillon was first patented by Abraham Louis Breguet. Over 200 years ago, Breguet invited the Tourbillon to counter-act the effects of gravity on a pocket watch. It's ironic that we still enjoy using Tourbillons today; and e...

A Nice Tourbillon from Vacheron Constantin

 By: patrick_y : June 25th, 2018-12:01
I wrote about a nice tourbillon recently. It's not a Breguet, and it's not mine, but it's my favorite watch from all the 2018 offerings! Here's a link to the review: www.watchprosite.com ...

A small Flying Tourbillon from Cartier

 By: Geo : June 25th, 2018-12:21
At 39mm, this is the smallest Tourbillon Cartier has at the moment, and it fits like a glove. The picture with the Tortue gives a good idea of its size, but I konw this is not everyone's cup of tea. GEO ...

Very nice!

 By: patrick_y : June 25th, 2018-17:56
Both the Tortue and the Tourbillon are very nice! I wonder, is the Tortue really inspired by a tortue? A tortoise? I think it is! Both look great!

I hope someone will post the 'Tradition' Tourbillon by Breguet.

 By: Geo : June 25th, 2018-12:25
To me that is the coolest of the Breguet collection. GEO

The La Tradition Tourbillon with chain and fusee is really thick!

 By: patrick_y : June 25th, 2018-17:56
I think it's around 17mm thick!

Perhaps . . .

Reminds me of those Richard Mille machines that you're always on about. This is so you!

Good call, my friend. Here are some of my favorite, from my favorite brands.

Eric Coudray should be proud of his Gyrotourbillon! It's an additional dimension to the world of tourbillons!

I think he is. ;) [nt]

Hand worked dial!

Good thing we don't have conflicting favorites, as your all time favorite is much rarer than my my current favorite!

Two favorites with caveats...

 By: mdg : June 25th, 2018-16:16
First off, I love the idea of the tourbillon even though it is a lot of extravagance (and cost) for a modest improvement in performance. That said, I love the idea of not cutting a huge hole in the dial, kind of why I like the idea of platinum watches. In...

Small and delicate pieces...

 By: patrick_y : June 25th, 2018-18:01
Truly gentlemanly pieces that are small in size and classically proportioned. But both carry a big stick inside!

some of mines and the coming ones ;)

The 5837, I'm very happy with it! The three curved tourbillon bridges are reminiscent of the tripartite swirling Tibetan symbol called a gankyil, which represents the interdependent and dynamic energies of the cosmos. The 5887, very nice on the wrist An A...
