Horological Meandering

I will start: The Rolex cyclops Rolex GMT having the same indexes as a dive watch. The maxi dials in general. AP butchering Genta's original case design with the Jumbo. Its supposed to be a monoblock case. They cut cost and changed it to a 3 piece constru...

OP doesnt care if he is in the minority. I am a big fan of Haldimann though. I you are going to put the balance wheel in the center of the dial that is the way to do it.

I know on some watches , such as the Lange Zeitwerk it can't be helped, but I prefer the crown to be at the 3 0'clock position.

Chronographs. That hand that point at 12 and do not move at all. When the hand is outlined, it is time to throw that watch away or sell. Allover the case pushers, ruining a strong water resistance. Next. Bracelets. Hair tearing, itching skin, look just ba... 

I have a few pet peeves: 1) Endless dive watches which look similar. 2) Full bronze watches (a recipe for allergies to many), especially those with bronze bracelets 3) Gold plated or capped watches 4) The Blancpain FF bracelet (it needs a dive adjustor) 5... 

The older ROs had solid monobloc casebacks I heard, and the only way to remove the movement was via the front.

* artificial shortage * marketing heavily weighted to hyper-luxury watches and artificially hyped watches, which are relatively „simple“ pieces from an horological point of view and were relatively "inexpensive" upon release. * cheating and underestimatin...

Get all the visible movement screw heads aligned in the same direction. For $100k you'd feel a bit of effort to get all the screws closely aligned in the same direction would be part of the inherent build quality. Sure it's OCD, yet we're talking ONE HUND... 

Maybe not peeves, some just my aesthetic taste, because as we see from this site the variety of watches and tastes, all of them right. But… Date window. Particularly when the 3 is sacrificed on a dial with numerals or moved in and un-balance the dial layo...
