Geneva watch auctions part 2

We kick off with this unique Vacheron, completely original and fully documented it was sold by Phillips for 600,000CHF.

This year is a special one for the Monaco as well as the 50th anniversary of the moon landings and the Omega Speedmaster.

Unsurprisingly prices for vintage pieces have gone up accordingly

This excellent example was sold for 27,500CHF by Christie’s

Then there were two Gold Speedmaster’s:

This one was sold for 50,000ChF by Antiquorum
Another one

This time from Phillips 72,000ChF

From Patek it was not just all Nautilus
This unbelievable example of a ref 96 in steel smashed it!

It sold for 97,500ChF at Christie’s
It was not the only 96 making headlines
This incredible platinum with matching platinum bracelet

Sold by Phillips for 110,000CHF

An oversized ref 570 in white gold:

Sold by Sotheby’s for 50,000ChF
Then there was this ref 130 in steel and gold with probably unique black dial

Retailed by Freccero, it was sold for 281,000CHF by antiquorum

Staying with antiquorum, a controversial entry, the prototype Aquanaut

This piece eventually made 401,000CHF
My personal opinion is that it us genuine BUT how it comes on open market is controversial and I wonder about the permissibility of the company to “sell” this piece in such circumstances

A tale of plastic: two ref 5575 (my favourite modern Patek ever)

This one sold by antiquorum for 112,500 ChF

And then this one

Sold by Christie’s for 100,000 ChF

Thats it for part 2

Part 3: Rolex
