I love Van Cleef, even though I never bought (my girlfriend sometimes does in Italy) some of their creations are amazing! Last January we had a chance to see their exhibit in Milano on their historic production, pretty unforgettable! ;-)

I remember asking at the press conference during SIHH. And I don't remember getting a straight answer to my simple question...
Something having to do with the fact that since the piece was already sold, they didn't want to release the price. Maybe there was an NDA signed to not release the price? Who knows...
No problem, these things might depend on a number of factors...I'll ask my girlfriend if she can send a whatsapp to the boutique in Milano, or I'll just ask in person if I can go this summer.
I believe I never saw one in person but the artwork is clearly incredible -- not sure I'll buy one (or that I would qualify anyway! ;-) but never say never if I fall in love! ;-)

Although they're incredibly rare. They also have some clocks they make with Lalique. No automaton, but still a beautiful objet d'art!

These automatons are amazing, so much craftmanship behind them! These guys are so gifted! On top of that, this is not only an automaton, it is a also a watch/clock! I wonder if they can be purchased, or if they are special orders only. Best, E.

But these are priceless treasures! Probably intended to be locked in the company's vaults or in museums for the decades to come.
