Horological Meandering

Does anybody have connections with Eterna?

I broke the crystal on my Madison, and last November sent it to CWJ Brands’ service center, which is Time Innovations in New York. Robin and I have a mutual friend, and he comes highly recommended. To be clear—Time Innovations has been responsive and communicative. My issue is with Eterna.

TI has had no luck getting Eterna to supply the rectangular replacement crystal. CWJ is Chinese-owned, but Eterna SA is Swiss, and even if they are down to a skeleton staff, they should be able to fill a parts order, or at least be clear about the options. From my perspective, they have been a wall of unresponsiveness. I react poorly to unresponsive service providers. And if they can’t supply parts to watches that are not particularly old, then one wonders why they feel empowered to sell new ones.

Before I start burning bridges (and I’m just about ready to light that torch, as you can tell), I’m wondering if someone has a connection to Eterna SA or CWJ. I never cease to be amazed at the connections of people on this forum.

Thank you.
