It is most frustrating with metal bracelets when they do not fit well. Also can be hard to solve for when traveling or going between different temperature zones as the wrist expands and contracts. I myself like a snug fit and want to avoid having a watch that moves down my wrist. Last watch I had an issue with was a Patek 5980/1A and my AD ordered a link that was 1.5x. It was not cheap (!) but worth every nickel as the watch then fit perfectly. Not sure this is an alternative for you but would look into what is available in original.
