I really like the throwback to the IWC Mark 11

Wanted to get one but then said to myself: too many pilot watches already! Need to get something different. Huge congrats on yours 👍🏼 Looks stunning! Hope you wear it in the best of health. Laurent

It is a beautiful cool watch. I also think about it a lot lot. Every detail is unique, but at the end pulled back due to its size. Have a great time with it

This was the first Hodinkee Edition where I would have been in time but I consciously decided against it, as I am convincing myself that I am saving up for a bigger piece 😉 Does look very convincing, though, especially without the date and without the Ger... 

This new alloy is really a joy. I'm a huge fan of titanium as a watch material (see my handle ) but this integration of ceramic with titanium has the potential to be a big game changer for watch cases IMO. I hope you share with us your "bigger piece" you ... 

so theoretically they should not, but we will have to see in 20-30 years or so since superluminova hasn't been in the market long enough I think for anyone to know for sure whether it ages or not.

But since the IWC is all black in color it looks smaller than it really is (39 mm Ø) because my guess is black is slimming as they say (clothing-wise).

Often black case make watch looks smaller than it is. Best Blomman

Indeed my first impression was similar about the size and weight !! also the loudness indeed!

Whew...glad you can vouch for the loud rotor as normal! It's not just mine being faulty
