CFB creates really superb timepieces - I saw how their dials are made...
I admire their dedication to the details and their openness for unusual solutions (e.g. peripheral rotors, innovative GMT functionalities). The ScubaTec ist just another example of a powerful, masculine but not overdone design. In the given combination of colours, red gold, steel with a hint of blue, a very attractive watch!
The quality of execution of their pieces is also without doubt. In the context of a recent visit to Zenith I had the chance - together with a group of fellow PuristS - to visit the dial manufacturer Fehr S.A., who creates for Cartier, Panerai, Bvlgari and others - and also for CFB:
Here are my (and Elio's) reports:
- Part 1 (dial blanks and polishing)
- Part 2 (guillochage & finishing)
- Part 3 (lacquering & printing)
- Part 4 (assembly and quality control)
Cheers and enjoy your piece,
Magnus
