Building driving memories on the way to the French riviera

May 12, 2024,14:20 PM

Just back from a fantastic roadtrip from Zurich to Nice, excluding the boring motorway sections we had >800km of perfect curves in amazing landscapes. And the best parts: already booked an appointment to change my 4 tires tomorrow, so no restrictions in rubber destruction wink

The MAD1 is a driver’s watch, so I took it driving

Played a bit with my drone, I absolutely adore the lines of my 992 (Carrera S with manual gearbox)

The roads were fabulous, but the best ones are not pictured, I was too busy enjoying it wink

Arrived to our destination, enough to relax the driver (and the co-pilot who was kind enough to endure some spirited turns )

View from our room, nothing to complain about

Cooling by the pool

Our hotel was located in Eze, a medieval village sitting on a cliff just in front of the Mediterranean Sea

I took my beloved Roger Dubuis for cocktail time

My Seiko Alpinist re creation for all around duties

And the ocean of Storm to get wet

Drive was too short, but memories will last!

Have a good WE all!

This is one of those cases where it’s too hard to tell whether the journey or destination are better…it is both!

Super fun trip... nice c2s!

The 992 is one of those cars that is perfect to my eyes from every angle, as is the Roger Dubuis, this is my beloved watch that my wife gifted me 🙏…. ...

Amazing! My Dubuis is also a gift from my wife

The T has been getting all the praise lately buy the S with a manual transmission is in my opinion the forgotten gem in the current range (more compliant than the GTS too). I love bright colors and your 992 looks great. Nice watches too!

Indeed, beside slightly lower price

I don’t see the point of getting a T when you can get a manual S. I would have loved a GTS but it was not yet introduced when I ordered my car, so the S was the best 911 I could afford AND put the kids in the back

Nice….everything!!! I assume you were a lucky winner 🥇

I am thinking about a drone to do some boat / jet ski pix but wonder about the control / reliability / battery issues. Love to hear any and all thoughts on drones you might have🤔🧐🤓

I’m not a drone expert

Just using a DJI mini because it is 1 gram below registration requirements in France. Super happy with it, very easy to fly and picture quality is good (not great but for <500€ it’s better than I expected )

Looks like one amazing trip
