BREMONT AGAIN
Last week I posted some pictures and thoughts about a Bremont ALT1-ZT that I purchased prior to their organizational change. Today I am posting it for a different reason. I will try to be less wordy this time. A small number of you might remember I was diagnosed with an infection around my artificial hip joint. I had 2 surgeries to try to treat the infection and eliminate it without taking the entire implant out. Both failed and on April 11 I had the implant removed completely. It was a 6 hour procedure and I was in ICU for 6 days due to shock from blood loss and sepsis. They cannot put another permanent implant back in until the infection is gone, and the temporary fix, called a spacer, is incredibly painful when moving the leg.

After tests this week strongly suggested the infection was gone, I had surgery earlier today to put a permanent implant back in. It’s amazing I hardly feel like I had surgery compared to what the spacer felt like. I know they tell you to not bring valuables to the hospital but I feel so naked without a watch on. It feels like a part of home is with me which gives me some comfort while laid up. So after 8 months of dealing with this and 6 more months of antibiotics I should be good to go barring any complications 🤞. All this makes me grateful to be here with family, friends, and all the things that make life great. I hope none of my watches see a hospital room for a while.😊

My back went out while I was on a boating trip (so painful and paralyzing) when I really needed to be able to move quickly. Many Motrin later it was like it never happened. Nothing like what you are going through but pain changes everything. It sounds lik...
