I think Lange was targeting a somewhat controversial design.
In their mind, they had to develop something very distinctive yet still Lange.
Problem is that they elevated distinctiveness over good design (just my opinion).
It looks like they designed the watch-head/lugs separate from the bracelet.
The watch head (save the adjustment pushers) looks like it could be just another Lange...somewhat boring IMO.
The bracelet seems very poorly integrated, and the link design is derivative.
Lange should have hired an outside designer (maybe they did?) to design the Odysseus. And bag the stupid name--give us something Germanic.
Unlike some watches, the more I see the Odysseus, the less I like it.

It's as good as it is! It looks like a Lange and it always wanted to be like that.
Folks should get rid of the idea it wants to look like everything else! It was never designed for people who want can't catch a mighty Nautilus.

I mostly agree... Lange may or may not be making a tidy profit on this model... but my opinion is, it is bland and the day/date is extremely UN-sporty for the dial design... and the bracelet is 'whatever'... assuming it, the dial and everything else is ex...

I like that band. But here, the one on the right seems to me matching better.
