This past weekend, from Friday to Saturday, I had the incredible opportunity to be invited by Bucherer and Moser to the Geneva Watch Days.
The experience was nothing short of overwhelming, filled with countless impressions that I’m still processing. From meeting industry insiders to enjoying meals with good friends, the entire event was a celebration of horology and camaraderie.
However, the time was far too short. One of the highlights was a visit to Agenhor, where the Wiederrecht brothers shared the fascinating history of their company with us. It’s incredible how many watch brands have won the GPHG with Agenhor's help. A notable example is the remarkable chronograph movement developed for Moser's Streamliner.
(This is not my watch but that of a very good friend).
I had brought along my Hautlence Linear 2, which, as some might know, is now part of the Moser group.
What I didn’t know until this visit was that Agenhor had played an important role in the development of my watch.
In the evening, there was a lovely dinner hosted by Moser at the Beau-Rivage Hotel.
Did you know that this was the hotel where the Austrian Empress Sissi died after the knife attack on her?
The evening was wonderful with many interesting conversations, insights and wonderful watches from Moser.
An unforgettable personal highlight for me was seeing Eduard Meylan explore his / my (☺️🙏) Hautlence Linear 2 with a sense of fascination and introspection. 😊
Moser … what an incredible brand!
Just one piece of this marvel has been produced and it was immediately sold (I am not the lucky owner but a good friend of mine):
There were shown some really nice new pieces to us I am not sure if I am allowed to show here. But I am sure they will be released officially soon.
Of course, a visit to Girard-Perregaux (GP) was also a must.
And the Esmeralda... what a masterpiece!
A short visit to Armin Strom and then back to beloved Moser.
Unfortunately, we then had to head back to the airport.
Finally some special shots for Nico ☺️ (taken at Friday evening):
Cheers
