You may be right that the industrially finished movements contribute somewhat to the lesser popularity but these watches were made for a certain level of ruggedness at a very different cost and price point than is the case with your typical mechanical chronograph today, so no surprise there. Not sure if most of the nice ones are in stable collections nowadays, making them less traded items πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
