A certain amount of success in the rap game is the demonstration of ostentatious wealth

Nothing says “I’m a Boss” like a blinged out Patek. But while the taste level may be questionable to many, the only difference is it’s done more overtly. A watch as a status symbol and indicator of one’s importance is no different here than it is for the investment banker in his suit and tie and Calatrava on his wrist. Make no mistake, while the presence is more discrete, he is more than happy to have it noticed. Interesting how we view the same underlying human motives differently depending on the background of the wearer.

I knew this day will come to me...

I've heard this before, but did not think that eventually it will happen in my AD. So, yesterday I was walking around in Mall, and stopped by my AD to put my name on waitlist for Sub 114060. I am not new customer, have been buying several watches from the...
I will not comment whether that iwc
By: Teacher Yang : May 9th, 2019-20:09
Is a nice watch or not.. but I have doubts in this new policy which you need to buy a pre-determined watch. (Your AD choose for you?!) What the.. This doesnt make sense. Some AD do require you to buy a first R (at a price) to get a second R. But you get t...
This is total B/S&$t.
By: Bounce781 : May 9th, 2019-21:10
Do not participate in such a blatant market manipulation and do not buy from these ADs. Watches are a luxury product. They should be enticing US to buy it rather than us trying to coax THEM to sell. I refuse to participate in this. My $0.02
A straight premium or even a no-sale, I can understand...

But make me buy a watch selected by the AD??? For some reason I find that way more offensive, and that AD could just go F himself. There’s no luxury product on earth I’d want enough to become a sycophant beggar and a slave to the seller. John
Yes. Actually I was quite angry , but
By: hoseachandra : May 9th, 2019-22:05
Then I think "why should angry?" There are many other brands with excellent value for money and much more interesting than a sub. Besides, I don't want to ruin my friendship with The salesperson. They just do what their boss say. So I just smile and said ...
Can't agree more.

This is not new
By: nwk00 : May 9th, 2019-21:44
I experienced it first at grey dealers. They have a hot watch that was priced reasonably, but the caveat is I have to buy some other watches of theirs from a prevetted selection. And also with some retail brands like Hermes, where you need to buy a certai...
Ha ha ha...actually that portofino is not an ugly watch
By: hoseachandra : May 9th, 2019-22:12
I am sorry if I wrongly expressed my feelings. But the design is not my taste. IWC do best in Pilots and Portuguese. I am pretty sure, however, the AD will choose the least popular models for this policy. So good for them. They also told me, even with thi...

I would suggest to say goodbuy to the AD 🙋🏻♂️
By: Watchonthewrists : May 10th, 2019-01:05
Imho this is BS . I will never pay a premium also for a sports watch like the big R . Please look arround and see if there is a othere watch that you like for a far price without al this nonsense

I've seen them swap dials; I've seen them engrave and initial; I've seen them swap out for aftermarket straps; I've seen DLC coating. In my opinion, adding diamonds (dial, case, bracelet) is just another level of customization to meet someone's personal t...
