Close-up of Cloisonne Enamel

 By: zhongenamel : February 24th, 2017-22:23
Close up shots of the cloisonne enamel dial I've made after months of experimentation.... Base plate is silver w/ silver wires as opposed to the gold wires used by Donze Cadrans... Same Grand Feu method with firing of multiple layers of enamel on the dial...

Wait, what?

That is spectacular! Would love to hear more...how did you start? And what are the case and movement for this watch? Best E.

Started years back..

I started off as a watch collector but fell in love with enamel, it was love at first sight. Since then, i have self studied and slowly learnt the ropes to it! Will also be posting enamel articles on the forum so can keep a look out! I'm casing it in a 44...

WOW ! Spectacular !

Thank you so much for your kind words, I started off as a watch collector but fell in love with enamel, it was love at first sight. I'm now doing champleve, micropainting and cloisonne enamel dials while researching on new enameling techniques as well.. H...

Yup they were..

These dials were used in the Vulcain by Cadrans in 2013, I wanted to showcase that it is beyond the Swiss that are able to make great enamel dials and spent months trying to achieve the techniques... I made some tweaks to the color scheme and applied hand...

Amazing work!

Thank you for sharing these here. The blue 'ripples' [for lack of a better word that I can find to use at the moment!] is just amazing! KR

That hand guilloche baseplate

 By: zhongenamel : February 27th, 2017-06:08
that 'blue ripples' are hand engraved guilloche that I applied by hand because I do not have a rose engine with me, it is not as even as I wished for it to be but that's all I could get with hand engraving, thanks for the kind words!
