the old one is superior in pretty much every department in particular the hour window placement and design.
The new one seems to reduce the likelihood of scratches in the area between crystal and lug…and the slightly bigger design is nice.

With no real dial, both seems visually too big.
I can assure you the old one looks rather small on the wrist
even a bit too small for my taste/wrist the 45 (and 48 in case of the new one) is including the lugs I believe
Interesting point. In rectangular watches the lugs are often added to the dimensions or not, which can make it confusing.
I've never tried on a round watch for size (sweet spot 40-42) but rectangular ones are a bit of a crap shoot judging fit by the listed dimensions.
Old every time
Not just the movement. The dial on the original felt far more refined in its details. Plus the case was cool too. Best E.
Neither!
Although both the new and old versions look great in either metal, the fact that it is 47mm long makes it too large for most wrists.
I like the old one better on all aspects.

The shaped movement tips the scales decisively for me. Thanks for posting these, meanwhile - I'd entirely forgotten about the Digiteur!
