Claudio Ranieri leading Leicester City to the 2015-16 Premier League title is the single greatest accomplishment in team sports since the introduction of team sports. And I don’t say that without considerable consideration. This wasn’t a one-off game or a 6-8 game tournament, this was a brutal 38 game season against some of the wealthiest and most powerful football clubs in the world. What little Leicester City did that year should never be forgotten.

A last minute meeting, as I love them. A virtual friend turning to a true friend, now, and an old real friend. I will not tell you who was there, I will let you guess with the watches I took in picture. So, first of all, the place. Not far from where I li...

Not to take anything away from the 1980 US Men’s Olympic hockey team

But that was a seven game tournament that ended with a wonderful one game victory. While impressive, that pales in comparison to what Leicester achieved over a 38 game season. They didn’t have to be great for three weeks, they had to be great for eight mo...
Damn, that makes Leicester . . .

. . . some kinda powerhouse from out of nowhere! The American team was given no chance for a medal, much less beating the Soviets, before the 1980 Games, if memory serves correct. The Soviets were a prohibitive favorite. Another come from behind story tha...
I don’t think I’ll see an upset like that again in my lifetime.

Crazy crazy stuff, never seen momentum at that scale. Wimbledon 1988 (as a Liverpool fan one that hurt a lot), Denmark 92, Greece 04, there are numerous others but as you say those were tournament football and while also incredible results it was not 10 m...
92 Denmark I remember well...

crazy times, but still one tournament and different era where arguably the playing field was a bit more even. With the financial muscle of modern top teams now and the length of the battles to achieve a victory the surprise possibly is one that is hard to...

I think I've eaten at your brasserie, last time I was in Paris! I remember it as being excellent. Sadly, no watches of that caliber were present on that occasion. Kent
a pure pleasure!
