Zenith Chronomaster movement

 By: nilomis : August 6th, 2012-07:04
My Chronomaster went to a complete maintenance and my watchmaker, he is doing this with all watches, sent with the watch a CD with 200+ pictures of his work. This one is a pic of the 410Z movement during the "dismantling" phase: (Pic by Adriano, my watchm...

What a great service from your watchmaker.

I have asked for shots of my watches during service, but no one has been able to oblige me. Andrew

These are from a series that I have been shooting as part of my photography lessons -- and it has been a labor of sorts as well as great fun to pay attention to lighting, contrast, and composition at the same time... Thanks for the kind words! Best, Gary

Marvelous. More close than that and we can see the ruby molecules or the gold atoms. Cheers, Nilo

Thanks, Nilo -- this sort of shot

...is where the D800E is in its element with its ultra high resolution -- and a straight-on shot makes it easy to get everything comfortably within the DOF available. Getting the lighting down to the chain and fusee was another matter... :-) Best, Gary

I like picture 2 very much. My eyes are drawn to the tourbillon cage where it is in focus and the wording tourbillon . I like how the watch is framed and the great lighting. Are you enjoying your course ? . What changes if any, have you made to your macro...
