I like the fact that it must be serviced from the dialside for water resistance, which is similar to the hardcore seiko diver 6159 back in the day. Thanks for sharing ans hope to see more!

Cal 1040 (and COSC cal 1041) were indeed Omega's first self-winding chronographs . . .

In the peak of my camera collecting era I occasionally did peruse pawn shops and did find a few good grabs.. but I'm with you with skepticism regarding them. With vintage

watches I'd bet there are some finds but..... In the end it comes back to "I found a Rolex on the side of tha road"... or the stories you see and hear on Pawnstars ... or Antique Road Show on TV. Both of which I do enjoy watching. No matter how you come a...
