does this mean no one will help me put this back together?
seems i've wasted $25
once I figured out how to take the stem out (thanks for the help) what a total POS this movement is. I think the whole thing is made fromĀ POP metal. without taking anything off, and being very careful... the movement would run, not run, run... I had to bang it a little to get it going.

I got the movement out and the rotor was removed... I took off the next plate and crap when flying. I have no idea where the mainspring went. Some of the things that went flying I recovered. Now i'm not sure if there were real jewels used (they kind of looked like red paint) or if they were the thinest rubies ever. Non the less, it wasn't "quality".

I kept taking things apart, moving things, taking more off until there was pretty much nothing left.

Before you all blast me as a criminal enabler... I did learn quite a bit. I could see how things interacted with each other, how pushers kind of worked, how gears and levers moved etc... So all was not a total waste.
Now who's going to help me put this back together?

So, I want to learn a little more on how a movement works and what everything does. I took a walk over to China Town in NYC where I live and picked up an automatic knockoff to be my victim. Sweet. It even has a display back. Everything seems to be working...

my goal is not to support "crime", of coarse I knew this is a fake, and not a very good one at that it feels like plastic as a matter of fact. It did have a mechanical movement which was my goal and my point is to understand how it works. If I'm unsuccess...

Hi there, I am perhaps THE pre-eminent (or the only) fake-watch-smasher on the Purists. home.watchprosite.com Please remember Graham, as a former law enforcement person, understandably takes a strong stand on these things. Let's respond to your original a...

turtletone, i think its best left as it is. i suppose it did show you what goes into a working movement even if the tin used wasnt of the normal quality. an escapement and hairspring have to work so inspecting the one you've got cant do you any harm, you ...
