Adding a Smart Watch
I suspect there may already be a thread or two on such a topic, but here goes anyway. I am a fountain pen and mechanical watch sort of person. That being said, I am seriously thinking of buying an Apple 4 Hermès Edition. I quite simply love the Hermès straps, orange appointments, and the distinctive Hermès watch faces. My question is this, have any of you added a smart watch to your ‘collection’ and, if so, do they receive much wrist time? I hasten to add that I have a Garmin for my running and bicycling. I have also looked at the Montblanc Summit, Tag Heuer, and the Garmin Fenix.

I won’t be buying any brand of “Smart Watch”...
It will be new today and obsolete tomorrow. Just treat yourself to a Hermes belt and stick with a quality mechanical wrist watch.

No, I have not. I am looking forward to the day when wearing a mechanical wristwatch is as anachronistic as riding a horse. I will do it proudly!
That being said, I occasionally feel a pang of jealousy when I see people discreetly checking their watch when they get an email, without having to pull out their phone.

Are incredibly annoying and disrespectful to others. The devices light up during theatre shows distracting others. The owners are so self absorbed they look at them whilst in conversation with others destroying the flow of the conversation.

That’s akin to calling people wearing expensive watches you know what. There a place for mechanical watches and a place for smart watches, I happen to enjoy both.

i use it when I run and if I do housework, eg hung a picture as you should not use a hummer while wearing a watch... All othe4 times I wear my real watches... Cheers

I don’t believe Swiss watch companies understand the concept of customer service at their lofty price points. If I ran my business like them, I’d be dead and they too will be eventually unless they respect their customer.

It was a gift to me but it reminded me of having my mother around - exercise more, eat less, do this, go there - so I gifted it to a more regimented person (who could never come to grips with it either) Alas.
