Ocean Chrono "This or That"
greetings all!
i have recently fallen in love with HW's Ocean Chrono line, and am seriously considering adding one to my humble collection.
i'm hesitating between the WG w/dark dial model and the RG w/silver dial model.
here's my dilemma:
i usually try to avoid White Gold and prefer Rose or Red Gold cases. however, in the case of this watch, i prefer the sportier look of the WG model with it's darker dial and rubber strap. at the same time, i find the RG model a bit "classier" with the croc strap and the more decorated dial. definitely more versatile out of the two.
so if it were up to you, which would you go for?

Well...on a note that platinum is HWRT's traditional metal
The divergence from platinum to a new metal such as Zalium for this watch in its gestation must first be taken into account. Historically, the first Oceans from HWRT were platinum. Taking this into account, I would go for the RG. As it would be "logical" ...
Mix and match
I went ahead with a third choice: Red Gold on a rubber strap (perhaps due to wrist time with my RG Offshore). The boutique in Las Vegas was very pleasant to deal with and accommodating.

I will try and take some pictures of the RG/rubber strap combo later this week. With regards to the "bling" factor, I wear a watch because I like it. I don't worry too much about what fashion dictates .
