winding and accuracy

Hello everybody!

I just bought my first GO, a SS Senator Panorama Date with Moon Phase (Caliber 100), almost 24h ago. I am ecstatic! Since I am an amateur at watch collection in general, I would very much appreciate some feedback regarding three issues:

1. I bought my GO from a very reputable AD in Barcelona, and was surprised to see that he kept all his watches, including this one, with the crown in the second position. Is this a good idea for long-time storage, or is it better to keep the watches running?

2. I plan to break-in my GO for at least two weeks without wearing it, so I am thinking of fully winding it every day at the same time. How do I know that the watch is fully wound?

3. During the last six hours I have noticed that the watch is lagging behind +/- 25 seconds. Should I be concerned?

I would really appreciate your comments, and thank in advance those of you who decide to post.

Kind regards,

JP

. . . and congratulations on selecting a very fine watch that we don't see very often on the forum. Cazalea has the earlier version with the cal 39 movement, and there might be a few others, but this is one of the less common Senators on the forum, and yo...

What do you mean by the last 6 hours?

Is that the last 6 hours of the power reserve of the watch, or just the last 6 hours you watched the timing? If it's near the end of the power reserve the rate will vary more, but if it is anywhere near fully wound and losing or gaining 25 seconds in 6 ho...

I'm getting +3 on my Cal 100. Did you wind it up fully? Test it for a week before going back to the shop.
