Two wonderful pieces

I completely concur with Daos. The front of the new one with the back of the old Meissen would be a real dream.
Cal. 49 would probably be a little too small to fit in a new Senator Meissen, but well, cal. XX to come might fit well.
The Meissen is an icon of Saxonian highest level craftsmanship and to me - call me old fashoned, if you like - it cries out for a manual wound movement.
And be it only make the happy owner care about this treasure deliberately once a day.

Every time I get the chance to see one I almost cannot believe that there are people at the Meissen manufacrure who are able to paint the dial by hand.
But surely there are. That is simply amazing!
