. . . I was willing to trade off elegance for utility, but that's a personal choice . . . my sense is that for most Sixties owners, the more formal appearance of alligator is a better fit. I was thinking about a tan or honey ostrich strap originally which would've been easy to find in a short length, but it was the challenge of finding a short shell cordovan strap that swayed me towards taking the plunge. You did well! That's pretty much better than the original, IMO. The Croc is ok, but it would need an old croc, matt, with " larges écailles ". This Cordovan adds some simplicity to this beautiful watch, and some sophistication at the same time. Nicely don...
