I have tried both models...
...and I much prefer the 39.5mm one. Beautiful execution, looked great on my 17.5cm wrist
There's 2 things I didn't like:
- the 40 hours power reserve. The standard nowadays seems to be 70 hours, and 40 just feels outdated. This is 2019, not 1979.
- the price of EUR 8,500 is completely unrealistic. They really needed to propose this at less than EUR 6,000
But, in a year or two, if the price drops enough on the second hand market or at grey market dealers, I could very well be tempted, despite the power reserve. It is a very, very nice watch, and one of my favorite divers over the past few years.

and the 39,5mm version is captivating It of course depends on your wrist size... But the 39,5 model is quite thin and sits very comfortably on the wrist The larger model is quite beautiful too but I am not quite certain about the big date- top caliber tho...

the closed case back of the seaq as it keeps the watch thinner and its trident is quite nice... On the other hand, you are correct that the movement would be worth seeing Cheers

I see your point too. That trident is nice. I know it wouldn't help with thickness but there used to be a "Ball Watches - Magneto" that had an iris mechanism. Imagine one of those where you could have both the trident and the ability to view the movement!...

That minutes hand...
does not work. Too elongated, out of balance. Feels like a much lesser priced watch. The big date--which GO is utterly THE BEST at... simply does not work on a diver, IMO. Another watch I WANTED TO LOVE, but do not like. Dial-while it may be true to histo...
