Very exciting news, Art.

I love a lot the idea G.O had, to release this pair! For the ultimate Chronometer Fans, sure, but that is a superb offer. Can't wait for additional informations and pictures. Best, and thanks for these excellent news. Nicolas

Here are the photos, Nicolas . . .

. . . alluring, no? . . ....

Alluring?

 By: amanico : October 15th, 2010-11:46
Devastating, YES! This is exaclty my kind of cup of tea. Thanks for these additional pics. Only one regret, which will not be shared by a majority of watch fans: The Date. I would live without much better. By the way, the need of the date on a watch is so...

I actually like the date...

 By: aaronm : October 15th, 2010-14:12
I find I always look to my wrist to know what the date is, even when my watch is dateless! On the other hand, GO's recent shift from crown to button adjusted dates is one of those minor things that really annoy me. They've proven they can have a standard ...

The Senator Chronometer offers an instantaneous . . .

 By: Dr No : October 16th, 2010-01:04
. . . date change, Aaron . . . cordially, Art

That's not what I mean

 By: aaronm : October 16th, 2010-16:26
To adjust the date needs the pusher, rather than using the crown... A

My apologies for the misunderstanding, Aaron. The implementation . . .

 By: Dr No : October 19th, 2010-12:35
. . . of the PanoDate usually entails a pusher, which understandably seems archaic. I think it's engaging, but then, there's no accounting for taste ;-) . . .

I agree with Nicolas

 By: carl : October 18th, 2010-08:26
I'd prefer it without the date. I'd be up for losing the power reserve indicator from the face as well. I really like the set though. What a glorious find for them.

Not alluring...

 By: ArthurSG : October 15th, 2010-22:04
mesmerizing!

Wow ...

 By: small-luxury-world : October 16th, 2010-03:42
Wow, that looks really good. This time with matt finish at the case It should be a "home run" if the price tag is "reasonable" Would love to see it in the metal....

Not just any home run, Oliver . . .

 By: Dr No : October 16th, 2010-11:27
. . . this home run . . ....

That is right up my alley

 By: doubleup : October 16th, 2010-13:09

Pretty sweet!

 By: dxboon : October 17th, 2010-23:09
The wristwatch alone would be cool enough, but paired with the restored deck chronometer and you've got something special. Cheers, Daos

Thank you Art....

 By: MiniCooper : October 15th, 2010-10:52
for bringing this to our attention.... An excellent idea.... Pity that GO could not find and restore more marine chronometers... Cheers This message has been edited by PinkPanther on 2010-10-15 10:52:41

Regarding the Marine Chronometers: G O offered . . .

 By: Dr No : October 15th, 2010-11:34
. . . restored models many years ago. I would assume these are amongst the last in their inventory . . . cordially, Art

Thanks again Art.....

 By: MiniCooper : October 15th, 2010-11:41
I didn't know.... I guess I could keep an eye out for them.... HAGWE... Cheers

A wonderful watch made even more wonderful...

 By: patrick_y : October 15th, 2010-18:01
When I first met the Senator Chronometer, I was already impressed. Here was a beautiful watch with all the practicality of a watch that could be used every day, that could be set with supreme accuracy and precision, and a watch with the movement finishing...

Thanks Art...

Just 13 sets? umnnnnnnnn................... Platinum chronometer is so tempting that I hope it join the regular line-up! Ken

Wow, looks awesome! (any diff with the WG version?)

 By: Vinontre : October 16th, 2010-06:02
I was wondering what the differences between this PT version and the regular production WG version are? The only difference I could discern is the cabochon on the crown and the limited number on the dial... C This message has been edited by chazlin on 201...

As Oliver noted, the case . . .

 By: Dr No : October 16th, 2010-10:52
. . . has a brushed finish. Other than that, none that I'm aware of . . .

I hope the peasant model in SS, follows! [nt]

I really with they would get rid of the effeminate cabochon

 By: donizetti : October 16th, 2010-07:01
on their platinum models. Other than that, a really really nice combo. Best Andreas This message has been edited by donizetti on 2010-10-16 07:02:22

Long-time G O fans will recall . . .

. . . the distinguishing factor between the first and second runs of the limited edition platinum black dialed Panos mid-decade, where the first hundred had a cabochon and the second batch did not. Perhaps the non-limited edition platinum Chronometers wil...

I want to say 5078?

 By: crabman : October 17th, 2010-02:09
Is that right for the similar looking Patek repeater? I am on a 4k (yes kilobyte) connection so it is not possible for me to go search this out for myself. Regardless I must admit I was also hoping a platinum version would come along sans date. In my mind...

A beautiful pair....

 By: tempusfugit : October 17th, 2010-20:59
Quite a treat to discover and refurbish these Marine chronometers...and the platinum Senator is the perfect complement. tempusfugit

Only 1 bound for the US

 By: MichaelC : October 19th, 2010-10:09
I gave serious consideration to upgrading from the WG. The brushed caseband, ship's chronometer, and platinum make it well worth it IMO. One set is coming to the Tourbillon Boutique and that is it.

Would you know....

 By: MiniCooper : October 19th, 2010-10:20
the official retail price? Thanks Cheers

I'm afraid not.

 By: MichaelC : October 19th, 2010-13:10
I contacted my AD with intent to order it pending availability and price; since he could not source it I did not get that far.

Thank you any way... :)

Platinum Senator Chronometer

 By: marcjlmd : October 19th, 2010-12:21
I wonder when and if GO will offer a platinum Senator Chronometer that is not part of this limited edition? Agree that this is just a spectacular watch. Marc
