The dial side is magnificent. The engravings are terrific on the dial and the barrel. The watch glistens in the light. The pictures do not do justice to the way that the watch sparkles. The bridges are amazing and are a perfect homage to the original watch. Wonderfully rounded and embedded into the dial.
What I didn't initially realize when I first read about the watch was that it has an automatic movement. The rotor is behind the barrel in the middle of the movement. Only angling the watch allows one to see the micro rotor. The tourbillon is well finished gold with the tiniest blued screws.
It sits tall as the crystal is domed but it has to in order to accommodate the movement
The underside is better than expected with very good finishing. A nice addition is the spiral circlage on a rear gear.
The case is perfect. At 44mm it is substantial but the lugs allow it to fit fine on the wrist.
The only but was the strap that it came with. It was quite thick and didn't conform to my wrist and the deployant was hard to click into place. Such a problem but ultimately solvable.
Congratulations to GP for such a magnificent piece of horological art.
