Once the strap was "exercised" I was able to get it on my wrist and it fit fine. Will it be living on my wrist? At some point. Being determined. It is an incredible watch. Even my wife agrees. The finishing is top notch. [nt]

WOW. That's the first and continuing reaction. Got to see the GP Esmerelda live and in person. It is an incredibly stunning piece.
The dial side is magnificent. The engravings are terrific on the dial and the barrel. The watch glistens in the light. The pictures do not do justice to the way that the watch sparkles. The bridges are amazing and are a perfect homage to the original watc...

Your point about the rotor is right on.
Not being able to see it gives the rear view a "hand-wind" appearance. This is truly a beauty.

And I can only agree - WOW!! To be honest, I agree with you on the strap. Too thick, too built up but please have in mind that a thin strap would look strange on such a watch. Also the strap gets softer after a while. One of the reasons for the "high" cry...
I agree that the strap has to be substantial to stand up to the watch. I'd suggest that the pad be shorter so that the strap better conforms to the wrist.
And if the goal of the higher crystal was to let in the light then they have succeeded gloriously. A truly magnificent piece Mitch
