Girard Perregaux

Thanks for reaching out Jay

It brings me joy to share what ever I know. It’s a bit of a karma thing and perhaps even a personal blog of sorts for me. My musings.

Through discussion and questions I find that I learn more.

I collect other brands as well but GP is a special because thru get such little press. At first I found the lack of information tiresome. But now, it’s like a treasure hunt and “paper chase” of sorts. Collecting as it was in the last where savouring the joy of acquiring a grail piece was often directly correlated to the hours spent on researching and tracking it down. Also, the friendships made with other old school collectors that are not likely to walk down to the AD to buy a mainstream watch.

This laureato 225 at 41 mm is probably the one to get. And I know as I pretty much have them all 😂 of course, much based on individual taste etc. but not available any more at ADs so it would be C24 and such and some good ones in America and japan from what I checked today at crazy cheap prices.

I’ve never gotten into busy dials and hence, have avoided any world timer. I agree, the wwtc has so much going on that I may have to squint a little too much.

So you are yet to get any GP?
