IMHO, The bracelet is a big part of a watch. It’s sets the overall composure and has to complement the case structure.

Perhaps much like a frame is to art 🖼️.

The 2499 design exhibits the massive amount of effort put into the minuscule details of bracelet to case to lugs to pushers to dial that often gets glossed over by some other brands.

Some pics I took today of the Girard-Perregaux ref. 2499 silver dial with its rather rare orginal bracelet. Cushion case with a 38 mm diameter. Love the balance of this gullioche dial. Applied 12 & 6 and indices. Clean and entirely legible. 180 examples m...

The subtle red on the sub chrono dials really add to the look, which help make it a really lovely and simple yet elegant GP Chronograph. Wear and enjoy it in good health. Marc
