Yes, the Laureato Skeleton is highly legible.
I think many manufacturers have clocked onto the the legibility issue and tried to improve on that. Here are A few photos of the other skeletons or open-works I have or had. To my mid-forties eye, they are very legible (still! Not sure in a few years!)
