I thought it would be interesting to see some wrist shots of some special watches that are linked to some special cars.
I'll kick it off ....
NEO-vintage GP and entirely off-catalog ... On its original bracelet today ... the Abarth Ref 4946 where 50 examples were made in the year 2004.
Some may remember that Gino Macaluso, owner and CEO of Girard-Perregaux at the time, was once team manager of Fiat. He also drove an Abarth during his European championship rally car days.
This Abarth was a long awaited special commission. Since the relationship between GP and Ferrari had ended in 2003, there was no longer the barrier of potential conflict of interest.
(I am of the belief that Gino made special concessions for this LE because of his great love for Abarth. I have not seen such concessions made for other GP models)

Around 2003/2004, Jaeger Lecoultre worked in collaboration with Aston Martin for some watches. They started with the 1, then the 2 ( pictured above ), the 3, the 5 and the 7.
