Girard Perregaux

Response from Girard-Perregaux

All the Traveler IIs, both 38mm variants and the 40mm, house movements based on the A. Schild.  According to GP's documentation, at some point the movement designation was changed from GP2291 to GP059G0, but they are the same movement.  No Traveler IIs used a movement based on the GP3000 series movements.

Specs for the automatic movement housed in all Traveler IIs:

13 1/4 lignes (29.5mm)
7.6 mm in height
28,800 v/h
31 jewels

I found a picture in our archives of the GP2291 movement for you.

Good luck, and if you do end up with the watch we'd all love to see your photos of it.

Cheers,
Daos
