I've never heard of the traveller movement buiild on the base GP3300 movement before but then again I might be wrong. I think GP had modified the A.S. movement by adding GMT and auto winding. I've got the Panerai PAM 98 which used the same movement and I can see mine through the crystal on the back and it is nothing like GP base movement at all.

All the Traveler IIs, both 38mm variants and the 40mm, house movements based on the A. Schild. According to GP's documentation, at some point the movement designation was changed from GP2291 to GP059G0, but they are the same movement. No Traveler IIs used...
The base caliber of this watch is an A. Schild.
There seems to be a lot of misinformation out on the 'net about this watch. I believe the base is AS 5001, and there is no record at GP of Dubois-Depraz having modified the movement as has been noted in previous posts. Cheers, Daos
