Anyway,I ve heard the same speculation from different people,and the use of sapphire parts like bridges and plates allegedly proved to be fatal on some watches (I am thinking of the Un blue royal for example).Mine was just a question as I find strange that the parts werent tested before...well i am glad it is not quite true as you can prove,That re enforce my love for this beautiful wonderful watch...

Hi, There is indeed a risk when they make them, but once they are made, why should they be more fragile than a sapphire glass that they use on top of sport watches (all Rolex watches have a sapphire glass for instance)? Best Dje
