Speaking of Chronographs
Until we receive more info on the Centigraphe from Montres Journe let's compare too old favorites. Both have very different looks and feels. I think appreciation for the Octa Chronograph will grow in time. The Datograph will remain a forever classic with it's stunning movement. I really like the 60 minute counter on the Octa. The Dato is really hard to beat, IMO.

Just a killer Chrono, even if this Journe is not bad at all, it just can't beat the powerful Beauty of a Dato...IMO. Not only esthetics, but also Finish: The Lange is a Reference, the FPJ is, once again, not bad, but can't be compared, in terms of finish ...

I put the Dato movement in my top 5! Agree the Dato is hard to beat for all the reasons you mention. One plus for FPJ is that the Octa's are so damn comfortable to wear. The Dato can be heavy at times.
