Wine Clubs

 

I'm interested in becoming more knowledgeable on wines. I'm not interested in collecting wines for investment or trading; rather just to have a nice selection for personal and family/friends consumption. Some years ago I was in the Wall Street Journal Wine Club but dropped out. I'm at a different stage of life now and interested in getting back in to it. I just got this flyer to rejoin WSJWines.



Before jumping on this offer I thought it wise to consult with my friends in the watch community about alternatives to consider. Anyone have recommendations? Thank you. M4

I have never joined a wine club as such ,but you might garner enough wine information by reading wine magazines like Decanter,Wine Spectator etc and try some of their suggestions within your price you find congruent tastes between the writer and yourself... 

So many variables. But like watches it is all about the initiation.

A friend recommends a wine he/she had and describes the pleasure he had. If your palates are similar his story will translate well and you will get a similar pleasure. So back to the basics Red or white daily drinker or rare occasions. Drink with meals on...
