One of the many pet peeves about the culinary desert we live in nowadays is that thereβs no proper food from the old country. While βYugoslavβ restaurants used to be a culinary highlight of postwar Germany, they are neigh on gone by now and what remains (or has entered the scene since) is a truly pale imitation of what the food is like back in the old country. There may be exceptions but I have not yet found them. Sadly.
