And this was the closest I could get to it at short notice. It’s a Philly smash burger, with smash patties instead of the steak but thoroughly tasty irrespective. Given that our neighboring countries have a long tradition of superb mince patty preparation...  

With the added bacon it’s a pure pleasure 😋

But from what I have heard many went insolvent during Corona 🤷🏻‍♂️

Quite a successful one had a place in the county town. Opened after COVID interestingly, had a couple of good years and now gone. Need to visit the bright lights of the big cities a bit more lol. 😂

You seem to be able to go for a swim any time - which is harder in a large city 😊

Definitely a good question! The culinary scene has hardly developed here for decades and then in the last 10 or so years the range has spread massively. Albeit, getting high quality and semi authentic Chinese or Subcontinent food is still far, far away 🤷🏻... 

I agree with you that they conform the taste to the market they are serving and sometimes the staff is not from the origin of that cuisine, the Majority of Indian Restaurant owners in NYC are from Bangladesh, so they are cooking Indian dishes from a Bangl... 

Many a year ago that was 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is there a bun on the bottom or is it just so big you can’t see it 😀

The smash patties are quite thin, so they end up a bit larger than the bun around it 👍🏻
