Good Day 40mm F.P. Journe Chronometre Optimum and a Calendrier. IF you had to let one go - which would it be? ...

The calendar

Thatโ€™s a really good collection

Two icons from FPJ. And certainly the De Bethune and PP are great watches too. Let the one You wear the least go. Big welcome here. Please tell us a little about yourself and your Watch passion. Regards Christian

Calendar

For me c.o. is an epitome complication of fpj.

Same thought here

Calendrier is wonderful but the Optimum is pure Journe

First of all...

Welcome here ! Call it an entry with 4 top iconic watches! As Christian suggests if you really have to, let the one you were the least go. The other ones must make your heart beat faster when you look at them, so they are the keepers

Hi all, thank you for the kind words, tough call! Was thinking of purchasing a Patek 5740, and I have been set a 5, maximum 6 Watch limit by my C.H.O I was thinking since there are 2 Journesโ€ฆ tough callโ€ฆ they all make my heart beat faster!

Too bad ๐Ÿ™ˆ

 By: Mike H : May 21st, 2023-14:29
5740 isnโ€™t a bad choice either for sure ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Butโ€ฆ you said the limit of your CHO (๐Ÿ˜‰ I like that ยซย CHOย ยป ๐Ÿ‘ she must be happy) is 5 to 6 so with these 4 you are not out of bounds unless you are hiding other keepers ๐Ÿ˜‰

Warm welcome ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

The optimum is really the Journe to keep, but the calendrier wears perfectly on my small wrists! Even though both are 40mm the optimum wears/looks bigger

I really like the Calendrier a lot but the dial color of the Optimum is so beautiful.

A combination of these two would make a perfect FPJ imho ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Exactly my thoughts

As others have said, it's an easy choice... let go of the Calandrier.

 By: jleno : May 21st, 2023-14:14
The optimum is more unique to Journe, and the manual movement, the dial color, and the dial layout on your optimum are all more attractive as well.

Maybeโ€ฆ

You can give one of the Journe watches to the CHO. That way you donโ€™t have to sell ๐Ÿ˜‚ Best Gatsby

I'd sell the De Bethune

I am not a fan of its design and proportions. But that's just me.

agreed

de Bethune does not have a unique design language!

Welcome!

First thing I would do is switch the strap on the PP so that the shorter side is at 12 and the longer side is at 6. But what do I know ๐Ÿ˜‚

All are beautiful. Wonderful collection!

Of the four I would move the DeBethune first. I love DeBethune but this particular one is not iconic for the brand in my humble opinion. If you are going to part with one of the Journes I would say the Calendrier definitely. The Optimum is just such a spe...

What would your 5/6 watches to keep be?

Welcome and amazing collection you got there!

For me, i love independent watch makers and so i would let go of the Patek Philippe but that is me! However, whatever you do please don't give away that DeBethune! it is so cool !!

Amazing collection

I would sell the DB - keep both Journes especially since it's a Ruthenium Calendrier.
