Honestly, I approve of Journe responding this way--it indicates a small way in which they are trying NOT to help goose the market. But I love knowing this kind of information!
One thing I remember Pierre Halimi saying is ironic about Journe production is that they commonly make FEWER of a given regular production piece than they do of limited editions.

I don't think there are any "disfavored" Journes.
It's just that most of the conversation revolves around the manual winders. Journe's automatic movement is a true wonder. Don't hesitate to grab this one if you really like it.

Ultimately, I decided to pass on this one. It’s a beautiful watch, but I was just too much on the fence to take the plunge. Hopefully someone who knows they love it will get it! All the comments from the forum were very helpful.
