F.P. Journe

Many years ago, I was lucky to have several FP Journe pieces. Alas, as many of us do, I moved on to other pieces, unfortunately before the market for FPJ skyrocketed. I am now, however, considering a return to the brand by getting a model I’ve never owned...  

My dad owns this exact model--bought from an AD somewhere around 2006. I thus have been trying to keep an eye out for info on it, but nothing! I never see it mentioned.

FPJ used to share production numbers but stopped when speculation in the brand began.

Honestly, I approve of Journe responding this way--it indicates a small way in which they are trying NOT to help goose the market. But I love knowing this kind of information! One thing I remember Pierre Halimi saying is ironic about Journe production is ... 

It's just that most of the conversation revolves around the manual winders. Journe's automatic movement is a true wonder. Don't hesitate to grab this one if you really like it.

The Divine is basically the same watch as what is now called the Automatiqe lune but with a different dial. The Divine dial variant was never as popular as the regular version. I guess just because the layered dial was just a more outlandish design. If yo...

Ultimately, I decided to pass on this one. It’s a beautiful watch, but I was just too much on the fence to take the plunge. Hopefully someone who knows they love it will get it! All the comments from the forum were very helpful.

I completely agree with your logic, and I believe I am the direct beneficiary of your decision. This is the singular Journe model (and size) I always wanted. ...  

First, I am thrilled that someone who loves the watch now has it. The way it should be. Wear it in good health! Second, seeing it on you is a reminder of what a truly beautiful watch it is. It really is a special piece. Congratulations!
