And you have had some amazing watches. What are you wearing most these days?

Same can be said for most Journe's watches...

I am wearing my Patek 5050 as a daily watch as I want the watch to keep going uninterrupted :P. I switch it up with habring chronograph pretty often too. On the weekend, I will wear my Grand Seiko or maybe Urwerk. At night before I sleep, I will wear the ...

you have some lovely pieces

I heard the 5050 can behave a bit tricky, but it is still one of the best "modern" Patek. Im thinking if I should get the 2526 again. I just worried when I had it on. Still, the thought keeps popping up.

5050 has no issue.

It is the first batch in 1993/94 that had the issues. Soon they were all fixed. As for 2526, there is nothing to worry about. The dial will not break unless you drop the watch. I had personally removed the dial to inspect and see how it sits on the case. ...

I think I will get the 2526 again, eventually

I still have a) too many watches to sell b) too long a shopping list ;-) I was talking to Jeff Kingston about i5050. Apparantly he had one and he claimed the issue was broader and not fully resolved by PP. Still this is a while back.

I had owned 3 5050 before

and never had any issue. The only known issue is the stick date that happened on the first batch. Unless those were not being serviced, they should be fixed by now. I'm not sure which batch is Jeff's.

Yes. OK!

not exactly a masterpiece but one that continues to inspire me

What makes it not a masterpiece? Has it been temperamental in the way some early Journes can?

Certainly an awesome watch, thanks for sharing!

Journes tourbillon is very accurate

and no issue. Early resonance is problematic. This tourbillon is his very early work, so I won't consider it as his masterpiece. It is iconic, no doubt.

Dream piece

I think all of us have a dream piece that's attainable. If we choose to have lesser watches and get one watch that melts our hearts and wear it often, we can achieve that dream

True true

This watch is very special to me as it was made in 1999. A special milestone for me so whenever I wear it, I feel fortunate.
